FOUNDERThe underground economy

Move goods, move money and stay one step ahead. The underground economy is planned inside FOUNDER's one economy: supply chains, front businesses, laundered profits and bought influence — every decision an opportunity, and a risk.

Where it starts

One economy

Undeclared income will never be a second wallet or a crime currency in FOUNDER. It is ordinary money in the one ledger, carrying where it came from — and a front business is an ordinary company in your group.

  • Own and run legitimate businesses — restaurants, bars, clubs and more

Start or buy companies across the game's industries, and run each one: strategy, prices, marketing and staff.

    In the game
  • A ledger for every company

Every company keeps its own ledger in game money — prices, wages, rent, stock and marketing.

    In the game
  • A restaurant dining room at night.
  • A lounge bar with guests at the counter.
  • A nightclub entrance on a wet street at night.

Build a criminal empire

Multiple paths. One network.

From black-market trade to shipments, from shell companies to front businesses: the paths the underground economy is planned to open. Combine them, manage the risk and stay one step ahead.

  • Front businesses

An ordinary company in your group that covers for something else.

    Planned
  • Shell companies

Companies that mostly exist on paper — ordinary group companies, in the same ledger.

    Planned
  • Cash-flow routing from dirty to clean

Laundering as a game action: a move in the ledger that turns undeclared money into declared money, at a price and a risk.

    Planned
  • Black market trading

Restricted goods with prices, demand and risk that move.

    Planned
  • Warehouse operations

Store goods, manage stock and move it through the city.

    Planned
  • Bribery and insider contacts

Officials, workers and contacts on the inside, met as choices.

    Planned
  • Contraband shipments

Shipments by land and sea, with cargo that can be stopped.

Tactical choices: pay, negotiate or decline

A useful connection

A port official can make sure your next shipment passes without inspection. The price: a share, and a longer arrangement.

Planned
  • Agree and payLower risk on your next shipments.
  • Negotiate a smaller cutIt may work — and if it doesn't, the risk rises.
  • DeclineKeep your money, find another route and face the inspection.

FOUNDER

More of the darker path

Every darker action in FOUNDER is a game choice with a price, a risk and a consequence — never a real-world method. Money in FOUNDER is game money only.
