Three worlds. One studio.

A private card room at night, players at the tables and the city's lights beyond the windows.

FOUNDERThe darker path

Power isn't always built in the open. In FOUNDER you can run a business in the grey areas — or step over the line. The stakes are higher, the risks greater, and every decision has a consequence.

StockholmBeautiful on the surface.Another world beneath.

In the game today: running a regulated business without its licence, and what follows — an investigation, a trial, a verdict and custody. Everything marked planned is the owner's direction for the darker path, built part by part.

Illegal opportunities

Higher profits. Greater risks.

The criminal side of Stockholm's business world, as FOUNDER plans it: goods that can't be sold in the open, influence that can be bought and a system that can be bent. Every opportunity is a game mechanic — with a price, a risk and a consequence.

  • Black market trading

Restricted goods on a market of their own, with prices, demand and risk that move.

    Planned
  • Bribery and corruption

Influence where it counts, met as a choice: a deal with a price, a risk and a consequence.

    Planned
  • Money laundering

Undeclared income stays ordinary money in the one ledger, marked by where it came from. Changing that has a price and a risk.

    Planned
  • Tax evasion and fraud

A game choice with a price, a risk and a consequence — and a gamble with lasting costs.

    Planned
  • Smuggling and contraband

Contraband shipments through the city, with cargo, routes and risk that change.

    Planned
  • Insider deals and criminal networks

Contacts on the inside and organisations of your own — in shared worlds, rivals can be other players.

The consequences

The system fights back

Crossing the line doesn't go unnoticed. Today prohibited operation opens an investigation that can end in court; heat, raids and the press are planned.

  • Investigations

Prohibited operation opens an investigation, which moves on to charges and a trial.

    In the game
  • Court cases and fines

A trial ends in a verdict: a game fine, or custody.

    In the game
  • Reputation loss from a conviction

A conviction costs the business reputation — custody more than a fine.

    In the game
  • Prison sentences

Custody is served in game days, with study modules and a release review.

    In the game
  • Heat level

Every darker choice raises your heat; lawful operation and time lower it.

    Planned
  • Raids and audits

Businesses and properties raided, and their books audited.

    Planned
  • Asset seizure

Cash, property and companies taken by the state.

    Planned
  • Media scandals

The press picks up the story, and partners, customers and investors read it.

    Planned
  • Businesses keep running while you serve

Today your companies rest while you serve; trusted managers will keep them running.

How FOUNDER treats it

A game, never a guide

  • Game mechanics, never methods

Every darker action is a game choice with a price, a risk and a consequence. Nothing in FOUNDER describes how to commit or hide a crime in the real world.

  • A risk, never the best way to play

A darker choice is never a free profit multiplier. It raises the risk, and its costs last.

  • The law is sourced

The offences the game names cite their Swedish source. Detection, pacing, fines and sentences are game values, and the game says so.

  • Game money only

No real money, no purchases and no payouts — on the darker path as everywhere in FOUNDER.
