Fjord Pulse is a flight with failures, FLY & LAND in tactical mode: flight 67 comes up the Kawarau valley at sunset to Queenstown, New Zealand, to VYKR's Far From Home, with the hydraulics on backup and engine 2 losing thrust. Before the flight you choose the failures (as briefed, hydraulics only, engine 2 only or none) and the weather (the valley wind, calm air or a föhn storm). On backup the flaps stop at 2, the controls answer slowly and the gear falls by gravity; the dead engine rolls the airliner until the rudder trim (, and .) holds it. Six gates down the valley, the mountains on both sides, the lake at the runway's end: crash into a ridge, ditch in the lake or land hard and the flight is over.
