Sandstorm Sky · Race 67 is Dubai's race in the racing world, HOVER RACE: from the desert into the city and out again, to VYKR's Far From Home — eight hovercars on a glass-walled track, two laps, the fastest yet (over 420 km/h boosting). From the grid in the dunes over the dune crest's jump, down Sheikh Zayed Road's twelve lanes between towers of gold and blue glass, round the foot of Burj Khalifa and up onto its terraces over the fountains, off the terrace's edge, and the big jump straight through Dubai Frame under its glass bridge. Past the Museum of the Future's silver ring, down into a glass tunnel through a giant aquarium with sharks and rays, up onto Palm Jumeirah with Burj Al Arab's sail across the water, and out over the last dune to the line. The first lap in clear golden sun, then sand in the wind, and the last lap in a sandstorm with the deck's lamps glowing through the dust. STEER drives it by hand (tilt the phone like a wheel, the on-screen wheel, ← → or a controller); AUTO keeps the one-touch race. The Grand Prix races everyone to the flag for points by place; Elimination races three laps, the two slowest out at each lap line. Five crowns hang high over the dune crest and the Frame jumps, four of them on the Grand Prix's two laps, only for a car still boosting as it flies.
