Madeira Edge is the second of the new flights, FLY & LAND in tactical mode: flight 67 comes in at sunrise to Cristiano Ronaldo International on Madeira, to Viktor Raye's My Daylight — down the island's cliffs in a crosswind off the Atlantic, through the gates and over the cliff's edge onto runway 05, the runway that runs on out over the sea on 180 columns. Choose the wind on the ready card: light, the crossflow or a gale. Fly it by hand: steer and pitch with tilt, the stick or the keys, set the flaps and the gear when the call comes and hold the speed. The airliner crabs into the wind; just before the wheels touch, the rudder (the , and . keys, the pedals on a phone) turns the nose onto the runway — or the side load breaks the gear (the assist de-crabs for you). The five cards on the left are the objectives — hold the course, counter the crosswind, landing flaps and the speed by the stabilised gate 1 000 m out, the touchdown on the centreline — and WIND on the right reads the wind now. Under the runway's height at the cliff is a cliff strike. The touchdown is scored with a rank from S to C. Five secret clouds wait off the line. Tap the playfield or use the shown controls to play.
